SECOL 2025 invites linguists and scholars from all subfields of theoretical and applied linguistics to share their latest research and insights. The conference features individual paper sessions and panel discussions, each fostering scholarly exchange and professional development. SECOL is a long-standing academic society committed to the advancement of linguistic knowledge and scholarship, particularly in the southern United States and the Caribbean.
The event also offers opportunities for student recognition, including the SECOL Student Excellence Award, and selected papers may be considered for publication in the Southern Journal of Linguistics (SJL).
