Fellow of GARI (FeGARI)

The title of Fellow of the Global Association for Research and Innovation (FeGARI) is the highest distinction awarded by the Association. It is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements and made outstanding contributions to the advancement of research, innovation, or leadership in their field. This prestigious recognition is granted following a rigorous review by national and international experts, in accordance with the standards outlined in the GARI Bylaws.

Fellow Nomination Criteria

The Fellow of GARI distinction honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional, outstanding, and sustained contributions to advancing research, innovation, and leadership within their field. This is GARI’s most prestigious recognition, awarded to global change-makers and thought leaders.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for nomination as a Fellow, the candidate must:
✔ Demonstrate outstanding contributions in academia, research, industry, or public policy.
✔ Hold a significant record of internationally recognized research, innovation, or global impact.
✔ Show leadership in shaping research or industry practices, including but not limited to publications, patents, inventions, or policy influence.
✔ Exhibit a commitment to mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing global innovation.

Nomination Pathways:

By invitation from existing Global Fellows or GARI Senior/Professional Members.
By self-nomination (subject to endorsement by two GARI Senior Members or Fellows).

The Selection Process

Nominations are reviewed and evaluated by a distinguished peer-review panel of national and international experts, all of whom are GARI Global Fellows.

Steps:

Submission of the official Nomination Form (via Global Fellows or self-nomination).
Peer-review by the GARI Fellowship Committee, comprising global experts from academia, industry, and public policy sectors.
Final endorsement by the GARI Executive Board.
Formal notification of conferment is issued by email, and recognition is celebrated during GARI’s flagship international event.

Bio: Dr. Marta Galindo is an Academic Professional in the Department of World Languages & Cultures and the Director of the Center for International Resources & Collaborative Language Engagement (CIRCLE). She holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Studies with an emphasis in Applied Linguistics, an M.A. and a B.A. in Spanish, and a B.A. in Communications.Her research interests include the linguistic landscape, the economics of language, multilingualism, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, and second language studies, which combine with her passion for technology, and the use of language learning technology to assist students in their acquisition of second language skills and language faculty in providing meaningful and engaging instruction to their students.

Professor Brian Hibbs

Bio: Brian Hibbs, Ph.D., is a full professor of education at Dalton State College who regularly teaches courses in applied linguistics, TESOL methodology, and culture and education designed to prepare pre-service elementary-education teachers to work effectively with multilingual learners of English in their own instructional contexts. From 2017-2020, Dr. Hibbs served as the director of the University System of Georgia’s USG Goes Global Madrid program. During the same period, he also served as chair for the High-Impact Practices Implementation Team at Dalton State College. Pavan Srikanth Patchamatla

Professor Mohammed Aljanabi

Bio: Dr. Mohammed Abdulameer Mohammed is a researcher and academic specializing in Computer Science , with a PhD in Computer Applied Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China . His research expertise focuses on Image Processing , particularly in Face Recognition and Image Similarity , contributing to advancements in artificial intelligence applications.Dr. Mohammed has served as a Scientific Reviewer for esteemed journals, supporting the peer-review process to maintain high-quality research dissemination. Prof. Matthew Ikhuoria Arhewoh

Bio: Professor Matthew Arhewoh holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (2012) and Fellowship of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (2015). Has supervised several PhD, MSc and undergraduate students. He was a Visiting Associate Professor to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State, where he served as the Acting Dean of the Faculty (2016-2018) and was Rector, Lighthouse Polytechnic (2021–2023).He is Consultant Production Pharmacist, Mojeaga Herbal Remedies International and Editor, Tropical Journal of Pharmaceutical Research. He was visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Napoli, Italy and attended training in microencapsulation in France (2010). Mary Oyeleke

Bio: Dr. Mary Oluwadunsin Oyeleke is a public health leader with over 10 years of experience in clinical medicine, public health policy, and community health. She also founded GracedCircle Health Initiative, a U.S.-Nigeria NGO focused on infectious disease, maternal health, cancer, and mental health. Horeb Midjochedo Anthony

Bio: Horeb Midjochedo Anthony holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in French and Francophone Studies from the University of Lagos, where he began his academic career before pursuing a PhD in Applied Linguistics at the University of Mississippi. His research spans Second Language Acquisition, Morphology, Corpus Linguistics, and Language Policy. Passionate about media, he has hosted and volunteered for French-language broadcasts across several platforms. He also founded the Horeb Nation Talk Show and has held key leadership roles in various reputable national and international organizations.

Faustina Baah

Current Position & Affiliation: Researcher at University of Missouri, USA

Bio: Faustina Baah is a scholar in mathematics education and a researcher at the University of Missouri. Her research focuses on the college experiences of undergraduate mathematics and statistics majors, particularly how these experiences impact retention and persistence. She also explores professional development for math teachers. A recipient of the Dr. George Shoemaker Fellowship, Faustina has contributed to projects like the Practice-Driven Professional Development (PDPD) and peer-reviewed for leading math education journals and conferences.

Professor Gabriel Omoshemime Arishe

Current Position & Affiliation: Professor of law at University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria

Bio: Professor Gabriel O. Arishe teaches Constitutional and Comparative Constitutional Law at the University of Benin, Nigeria. Professor Donald Dyer

Adefarayola Deborah Olugbemisola

Chika Osuagwu

Bio: Chika Uchechi Osuagwu is a Full Stack Developer and Electrical Engineer known for her leadership, academic excellence, and innovative research. She served Vice President of a distinguished Society at FUTOand the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul, where she led mentoring and outreach programs. A Total E&P Scholar andrecipient of multiple honors and recognitions. Chika’s research, published in top journals, spans renewable energy, intelligent traffic systems, wearable biomedical devices, and neuromorphic computing. She contributes as a journal reviewer, conference judge, and was featured as a technologist in The Guardian.

Professor Marlyse Baptista

Current Position & Affiliation: President's Distinguished Professor of Linguistics at University of Pennsylvania

Bio: Marlyse Baptista is the 2024 President of the Linguistic Society of America and President’s Distinguished Professor of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania. A Fellow of the LSA and Honorary Member of ALMA-CV, she is widely recognized for her work on Creole languages and language contact. Her book The Syntax of Cape Verdean Creole was nominated for the Gustav O. Arlt Award in the Humanities. She has received numerous honors, including the University of Michigan’s Faculty Recognition Award, and major grants from the Mellon and Rockefeller Foundations, as well as the NSF. Her research and leadership have shaped the field of linguistics.

Dare Ehigie

Ademola Salako
