Omotayo Oladele

Current Position & Affiliation: Research Fellow at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University

Bio: Omotayo Oladele is an Ocean Engineering researcher at Virginia Tech, specializing in maneuvering–seakeeping models, propeller–hull interactions, and high-fidelity CFD using STAR-CCM+. Building on M.S. work in AUV-towing dynamics, he has published in OCEANS 2022, ASME OMAE 2023, and ICHD 2024, with an OMAE 2025 paper forthcoming. A former National Vice-Chair within the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), he has also mentored design teams as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. Recipient of the 2024 SNAME Graduate Fellowship, his expertise spans MATLAB/Simulink, Rhino, and MAESTRO.
