Supporting Research Development, Publication, and Global Visibility
Overview
The GARI Research Mentorship & Publication Fellowship operates a structured publication framework designed to support researchers at different stages of development while maintaining academic quality, global visibility, and accessibility.
The framework is mentor-driven, flexible, and aligned with international scholarly standards.
1. Mentor-Driven Publication Model
2. Dual Publication Pathway Model
Pathway A — GARI-Affiliated Journals
Primary outlet:
CogNexus: A Multidisciplinary Journal of Research and Innovation
3. Editorial and Review Structure
- internal editorial screening
- structured peer review by qualified reviewers
- alignment with academic and ethical publication standards
Final publication decisions remain independent and journal-based.
4. Publication Support and Accessibility
GARI recognizes that publication in some high-impact journals may involve Article Processing Charges (APCs).
- identification of journals with varying APC structures
- guidance on cost-effective publication options
- collaborative approaches among co-authors or research teams
- development of sponsor-supported publication pathways (in progress)
This approach ensures that financial constraints do not limit participation or research dissemination opportunities.
5. Conference–Publication Integration
- conference presentation (GARI International Conference Series)
- manuscript refinement
- journal submission
6. Strategic Objective
- support high-quality research development
- enable global dissemination of scholarly work
- provide flexible publication pathways
- balance accessibility with academic rigor
- position researchers for both internal and external publication success
